Audi S5

Audi S5The Audi S5 was released to the public at the same time as the A5. The S5 is powered by a 4.2L V8 FSI producing 354 PS (349 hp/260 kW). It has more aggressive fascia (as most S/RS series Audis do), including a string of LED daytime running lights around the HID headlamps. Audi announced that an RS6 is due in 2009 when today’s RS4 ends production. Audi claimed that there will only be one RS model in their range at any specific time, which indicates there may be no RS5 in the near future. However, in November 2007, Audi announced its new RS strategy: moving forward there will be increased production on all current RS models, which currently consist of RS4, R8, and RS6. In addition, expect to see RS models released 2 years after initial release of their donor models. Under this new strategy of releasing multiple RS models at one time, we may now expect to see all new Audi TT-RS, RS6 Sedan, B8 RS4 based on new B8 A4, in the near future, but before then expect to see RS5 in 2009 as 2010 model year.
